Urbiotica is a Barcelona-based IoT and AI company that builds smart parking and urban mobility solutions — magnetic in-ground sensors, camera/ALPR-based detection and a cloud Smart Parking Platform used for guidance, enforcement and data analytics by cities and parking operators. Founded in 2008 and venture-backed at an early stage (Caixa Capital Risc, Ona Capital), it is now a revenue-generating scale-up (~$5.5M revenue in 2024, ~25-30 employees) with 150,000+ digitalised parking spaces across 250+ projects in some 50 countries, and it acquired the Fastprk smart-parking product line from Worldsensing. It operates under the legal entity Barcelona Smart Technologies S.L.
