Pack2Earth is a Barcelona-based advanced materials startup (founded 2022) that develops patented biobased, home-compostable materials — a flexible film and an injection material — that compost at ambient temperature and offer the high barrier protection needed for food and non-food packaging, while running on existing production lines. It licenses its formulations to packaging manufacturers rather than manufacturing directly, targeting the replacement of 50,000 tons of plastic and 100,000 tons of CO2 by 2029. It has raised roughly €2.6M (a €1M pre-seed in Feb 2024 and a €1.6M round led by Swanlaab Venture Factory in July 2025) and won the Santander X Global Awards 2024 and a Foodtech Innovation Award 2024.
