TeraDx is a Spanish medtech/biotech startup developing a non-invasive saliva test that uses oral microbiome biomarkers, qPCR and a proprietary algorithm to detect head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) early, delivering results in under 24 hours on standard hospital PCR equipment. Spun out of Dr. Vicente Navarro's microbiome research (Bioithas, UCAM Chair of Human Microbiota, FISABIO group MiBioPath), the company reports 97% sensitivity and 100% specificity in proof-of-concept studies and holds granted patents in Europe and Japan. It is very early stage (HQ in Valencia): impact venture builder Zubi Labs joined as strategic partner in late 2025, with a first institutional funding round planned for 2026 and CE marking targeted for 2027.
