Toteemi is a Madrid-area sports-gamification startup whose app rewards amateur cyclists and runners: activities tracked via Strava or Garmin earn a virtual currency ("Teemis") through missions, multiplayer battles and territory conquest, redeemable in its own e-commerce shop for cycling/running gear and nutrition from brands like Oakley, Castelli, POC and Decathlon. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid), it closed a €2.5M seed round in 2023 after reaching 50,000 users in its first year, and raised a further round of over €1M in June 2026 led by family business group Asentis to fund international expansion, new sports and AI features. Notable backers include Real Madrid footballer Dani Carvajal and Olympic mountain-bike medallist Carlos Coloma.
