VVanetta Food
Vanetta Food is a Galician foodtech startup that makes 100% plant-based versions of traditional Spanish and Galician dishes — seitán, zorza, cachopo, croquetas and empanadillas — from vegetable protein, operating what it calls the first plant-based meat factory in Galicia. Founded in 2023 and based in Nigrán (Pontevedra), it sells through B2B2C, retail and HORECA channels and closed a €400,000 seed round in June 2024 (business angels, an ENISA loan and Xunta de Galicia grants), followed by a capital increase in August 2025 with BeFuture Invest that raised its valuation 70% year-on-year. It began international expansion into France in June 2025, with Portugal and the UK next; CEO Águeda Ubeira was named Entrepreneur of the Year in Galicia 2026.
