HHelenis Biocosmetics
Helenis Biocosmetics is a Valencian advanced biocosmetics startup that formulates, manufactures and sells skincare and personal-hygiene products for the skin microbiome, using naturally derived prebiotics and postbiotics as clinically validated actives. Based at the Parc Científic de la Universitat de València in Paterna, it runs two lines — a daily microbiome-care cosmetic range and an 'immunocosmetic' range — with organic, vegan and natural certifications, and targets sensitive, reactive and atopic-prone skin. It is a very small pre-seed company (roughly 4 people): it closed a €120,000 business-angel round in May 2024 with support of the UMH Science Park, and separately secured €180,000 in public funding (€120,000 ENISA, €60,000 Institut Valencià de Finances); it has won recognition at the Beauty Shortlist Awards 2025 and the Universal Beauty Awards.
