Kilimanjaria is a Madrid-based food delivery company that runs a portfolio of its own virtual restaurant brands, including Hakuna Patata, which specialises in creative Spanish potato omelettes, and Helzi, a healthy, low-calorie meal range. Its cloud-kitchen model prepares all dishes in a central kitchen in Madrid and sends them to smaller finishing kitchens. Because no cooking happens at those sites, they need no smoke extraction or open flames, which keeps costs low and lets the company open new locations quickly. The company opened its first kitchen in Madrid in October 2020 and has raised two funding rounds, the second an €800,000 round backed by The Valley Venture Capital, Fides Capital and Grupo Lar.
