Champion Games
Champion Games is a Barcelona-based video game studio that makes blockchain-based football games. It was founded in 2015 by Marc Cercós, Patxi Barrios and Alex Fiestas, and began with fantasy football games. Its main title was MetaSoccer, a Web3 football management game in which players ran virtual clubs, trained NFT players and earned rewards from matches and competitions. The game ran from 2021 until it shut down in 2025. In November 2021 the company raised a €2 million seed round from investors including Play Ventures, ParaFi Capital, DeFiance Capital, DAO Maker, Kyros Ventures, Metrix Capital and Peech Capital. Telefónica's Wayra invested in October 2022.
