Exheus

Exheus, which now operates under the brand Beyond You, is a Barcelona-based health-tech company. It has developed a blood test that uses AI to analyse RNA and measure the expression of more than 17,000 genes across over 360 metabolic pathways. The test picks up early changes in inflammation, metabolic health and ageing, and the company sells it mainly to healthcare professionals so they can personalise treatment and help prevent age-related chronic disorders. The company was founded in June 2020 as a spin-off from the Sant Pau Hospital Research Institute and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), and was incubated at Mobile World Capital Barcelona's The Collider venture builder. It raised a first round of about €300,000, then closed a €900,000 round in 2022. That round was led by Decelera Ventures, with WA4STEAM, NextGen Venture Partners and more than a hundred business angels via Capital Cell taking part, and was complemented by CDTI public financing.
