Prospera Biotech is an Elche-based biotechnology company that develops neurodermatological skincare products for sensitive skin. Its formulations act on the peripheral nervous system to relieve stinging, itching, tingling and thermal discomfort. The range includes Oncapsisens, a cream for chemotherapy-induced discomfort in the hands and feet of oncology patients, the anti-sweating formulation Ecrisens, the Nocisens line and the intimate-care cream Vulvisens, which was licensed to Procare Health in 2026 for its international range. The company was founded in 2019 as a spin-off of the IDiBE health biotechnology institute at Miguel Hernández University (UMH), based on more than 25 years of neuroscience research by its founder, Antonio Ferrer Montiel, and is based at the UMH Scientific Park. It reported revenue of about €150,000 in 2022 and has run a multicentre clinical trial across 15 Spanish and European hospitals. After starting with €50,000 in initial capital, it raised a €200,000 private round in 2021 and more than €625,000 in 2023 from 145 investors through the equity crowdfunding platform Capital Cell.
