Balderton Capital is a London-based venture capital firm, founded in 2000, that invests in European-founded technology companies from seed stage through to IPO. It runs separate Early Stage and Growth funds, and backs companies across software, fintech, AI, consumer and deep tech. In August 2024 it closed $1.3B across two funds raised at the same time: the $615M Early Stage Fund IX and the $685M Growth Fund II. Its portfolio includes Revolut, GoCardless, Contentful, Aircall, Wayve, Dream Games and Photoroom, and its exits include Darktrace, Depop, MySQL, Peakon, Recorded Future, Talend and THG.
