Cucare Diagnostics is a Paterna (Valencia)-based biotech company that applies gene sequencing, molecular tools and bioinformatics to insect management for agriculture and large-scale insect farming. It offers diagnostic services that detect pathogens in mass-reared insect colonies and pesticide resistance in pest arthropods, along with monitoring, consulting and custom research projects such as genetic selection of insects for food production, and it is developing diagnostic kits for sale. The company was founded in February 2025 as a spin-off of the University of Valencia's BIOTECMED institute, which is one of its shareholders, and is based at the university's Science Park. In 2025 it won the Spanish final of the EIT Food Empowering Women in Agrifood (EWA) programme, which came with a €10,000 prize, and it also won Holcim Sagunt's 'Posem la Primera Pedra' award.
