MMethanol Reformer
Barcelona-based Methanol Reformer builds modular, decentralised systems that turn methanol into hydrogen and electricity on site. Its customers are in maritime and port operations, industry, mining, logistics, mobility, off-grid sites and data centres. Products include the L18 and L30 reformer units, the H-Nomad mobile and stationary hydrogen supply systems and the E-Nomad power systems, scaling from 150 kW to multi-megawatt installations, all made at its own 1,400 m² plant in Molins de Rei. The company was founded in 2022 by Jordi Priu within the automotive-components group MMM Group, which invested €2.5 million in the venture. It has agreed to supply Baleària with Europe's first autonomous e-methanol power container for ferries and to deliver an L18 unit to Mitsubishi Gas Chemical's Niigata plant, has customers in Scandinavia, the United States and Japan, and won Best Sustainability Startup at BNEW 2025.
