Science Bits is a Barcelona-based edtech company (operating as Learning Bits S.L., with a US entity Learning Bits Inc.) that publishes a digital K-12 science curriculum built on the 5E instructional model and evidence from cognitive learning science, designed to replace traditional textbooks. It was created with the International Science Teaching Foundation, a non-profit directed by founder Héctor Ruiz Martín, and has expanded into Latin America and the US, later adding a companion Math Bits product. It is VC-backed with roughly $4.4M raised and has won the UN-backed World Summit Award for e-Learning & Science.
