GoodNews is a Barcelona-founded specialty coffee brand and retail startup that reimagines traditional newsstands as 'grab & go' coffee kiosks and stores, complemented by e-commerce (coffee, machines, subscriptions, insulated thermoses and accessories) and a B2B office-coffee service. Founded in 2020 by five friends during the pandemic, it has expanded across Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, London and Amsterdam and has run brand collaborations with Oysho, Lancôme and Sephora. It raised an €11M Series A in September 2022 — reported at the time as the largest raise by a European coffee startup — led by Desigual founder Thomas Meyer's vehicle La Vida es Chula alongside Barlon Capital, followed by a Crowdcube crowdfunding round (~€235K) in late 2023.
