HHuplei
Huplei (operated by Smart Interactive, S.L., formerly branded Cinesmart under Astronauts Consulting, S.L.) is a Barcelona-based adtech and 'advergaming' platform that turns a smartphone into a remote control so cinema audiences and live-event crowds can play branded interactive games on the big screen during the preshow. The cloud platform sells this as an alternative to conventional cinema advertising, giving brands real-time engagement metrics and audience data, and rewarding players with prizes delivered to their phones; it also offers a synchronized narration and closed-caption system for vision- and hearing-impaired cinemagoers. It raised a ~€130k pre-seed round and went through the Bcombinator accelerator in Barcelona, with screens live in cinemas across Barcelona and Madrid (Alcalá de Henares, Alcorcón, Majadahonda, Leganés).
