Velca is a Spanish brand of 100% electric motorcycles and mopeds for urban mobility, founded in 2020 in Madrid by former employees of the Swedish micromobility unicorn Voi. It designs and sells models such as the Tramontana, Calima, Vortex and EON with removable batteries chargeable from any household socket, distributed through 80+ points of sale in Spain and a network of 350+ affiliated workshops. It raised a €5.3M Series A in November 2023 (a €3.5M equity increase plus ENISA and bank financing) led by Sherry Ventures, Noso Capital and BeHappy Investments, holds roughly a 16% share of the Spanish electric motorcycle market, and is expanding into France, Germany and Italy.
