Floatech is a Madrid (Getafe)-based deep-tech startup and spin-off of the IMDEA Materials Institute that develops and manufactures 100% silicon anodes (branded Si:Coil) for next-generation lithium-ion batteries using a patented, binder-free chemical vapor deposition process. Its technology targets up to 10x the performance of traditional graphite anodes for applications in EVs, eVTOLs/drones and consumer electronics, and it operates a 1 MWh pilot production plant in Getafe. The company has raised early-stage capital and EU innovation grants and holds an EIC Seal of Excellence.
