Medhionine (legally Medhionine Medical Communications, S.L.) is a Spanish medical communications startup founded in 2022 in Ceuta that turns complex scientific and clinical data into accessible written and visual content for pharma, biotech and clinical research clients. It operates a digital platform with proprietary, privacy-closed AI that connects pharmaceutical companies with a network of 300+ specialised freelance medical writers across therapeutic areas (oncology, dermatology and others), while providing methodology, review, quality assurance and compliance. Largely bootstrapped on revenue (~€150k billed in the prior year, ~€12k MRR) with a core team of about six, it won the 'Universo Startup' competition in February 2025 and pitched at the ESIC/Var Group Investment Forum and Alhambra Venture while seeking a ~€250k round.
