Open Cosmos raised €300M (~$348M) in a Series C described in the company release only as "led by European investors", with Lightrock and ETF Partners the most prominent backers; several outlets report the round takes the company past a $1B valuation, making it Europe's newest space unicorn. The company is registered and headquartered at Harwell/Oxford in the UK but was founded by Mallorcan entrepreneur Rafel Jordà and runs one of its four European satellite factories in Barcelona, so Spanish media report it as the largest Spanish-ecosystem round of 2026; part of the package is venture debt from Claret Capital Partners.
