Simplr (legal entity SIMPLR LIFE & HOME, S.L.) was a Barcelona-based "life as a service" platform that let consumers, households and businesses subscribe to or rent products instead of buying them — electronics, mobility, furniture and home services — with flexible rental periods, positioning itself as a circular-economy alternative for manufacturers wanting pay-per-use and reconditioning models. Founded in 2020 by Ángel Bou (ex-Zuora, Google, Inveready) and Daniel Romy Martí (ex-Media Digital Ventures/Inveready), it raised roughly €4.5M–$5.4M at seed stage and grew to ~20-50 employees, and was covered in Spanish media as "the sustainable Amazon of the subscription economy".
