Wallapop is a Barcelona-based mobile-first marketplace for buying and selling second-hand goods between local users, using geolocation to surface nearby listings. Founded in 2013 by Agustín Gómez together with Antai Venture Builder's Miguel Vicente and Gerard Olivé, it operates in Spain, Italy and Portugal with roughly 19 million monthly users and is one of Spain's best-known consumer tech companies. Its last venture round was a Series G (2021, €157M, led by Korelya Capital) with extensions in 2023 (€81M, valuation €771M) and 2024 (€20M, valuation €806M); in 2025 South Korean internet group Naver bought out the remaining 70.5% to take 100% ownership, so Wallapop is now a Naver subsidiary rather than an independently VC-backed startup.
