Grabit (legal entity Grabit Retail S.L.) is a Basque computer-vision startup founded in 2019 that builds low-cost, edge-based deep learning software for retailers, mainly supermarkets. Its products — gFresh (produce recognition on scales and checkouts) and gCheck (self-checkout fraud/shrink detection) — run on inexpensive hardware such as NVIDIA Jetson devices, and the company is part of the NVIDIA Metropolis partner program. It is a small team (2-10 employees) based in Bizkaia, spun out of the AI venture builder AIPOWER and backed by Basque accelerators and public/private seed vehicles; it was named one of Spain's 25 most promising startups in 2021.
