BIND 4.0
BIND 4.0 is a Bilbao-based public-private open innovation and acceleration platform led by the Basque Government through its economic development agency, SPRI Group. Since it launched in 2016, it has connected early-stage technology start-ups with leading Basque industrial companies and public bodies acting as venture clients. Those clients pay for proof-of-concept and pilot projects, with an indicative minimum of €25,000 per project, and the programme takes no equity and charges no fees. The programme focuses on advanced manufacturing and smart industry, smart energy, health tech and food tech, and runs a GovTech track with public-sector organisations. It has accelerated more than 250 start-ups from around the world.
