Nantek is a Basque cleantech company that uses a proprietary catalyst-free pyrolysis process with nano-elements to convert non-recyclable, mixed and unwashed plastic waste into pyrolysis oil, synthetic fuels, hydrogen and methane for the energy and petrochemical industries. Founded in 2019 by Carlos Uraga and Mikel Azcona, it operates an industrial unit at the Port of Bilbao (~25,000 t/year capacity) and in December 2025 was awarded a contract by Córdoba's municipal waste company Sadeco to build a plant with up to €65M of investment (€22M phase one, starting H2 2026). It holds ISCC/ISCC PLUS certification, won the Premio Emprendedor XXI in the Basque Country, and has offices in Bilbao, Córdoba and Dubai.
