Trovant Technology is a Spanish environmental-tech startup founded in 2018 that develops biological processes to treat and valorise organic waste, its core product being NIDUP, a low-cost biological biogas upgrading system that turns biogas into biomethane (renewable natural gas) at small and medium scale where conventional upgrading is not economically viable. It is a deeptech/cleantech company headquartered in Valladolid with an office at the Energy Venture Center in Madrid, roughly 10 employees, backed mainly by corporate venture arms in the energy and water sectors, and is certified as an Innovative SME and ENISA Emerging Company.
