mmmico (legal name Food and Feed Biotech S.L.) is a Spanish biotech startup that develops natural, high-value ingredients by using microorganisms as biofactories, combining precision fermentation, non-GMO 'directed evolution' and an in-house AI system called BIOMETHEUS to replace synthetic, oil-derived additives in food, cosmetics, nutraceuticals and animal feed. Its flagship product, ROSASTA, is a microbial extract rich in astaxanthin and carotenoids used as a natural antioxidant and red colourant. It is an early-stage (pre-seed) company founded in 2023 and based in Seville, accelerated in the Spain Foodtech Startups' Program (Eatable Adventures, with ICEX and CNTA support).
