Urkabe Benetan is a Basque food manufacturer based in Errenteria (Gipuzkoa) that produces frozen pre-cooked dishes and meat-based gastronomic solutions, with croquettes and cooked ham as its flagship products under the Benetan and Urkabe brands. It is not a venture-backed startup: the Benetan business traces back to founder Enrique Pérez in 1960, the company was integrated into Grupo Gourmet Okin in 2006, and in July 2024 private-equity firm Stellum Capital took a c.31.5% minority stake via its Stellum Food & Tech I vehicle. In May 2025 it merged with Ameztoi (Zestoa) to form a pre-cooked-food group with over €40m in revenue and around 150 employees.
