Solum is a Spanish cleantech company that develops walkable photovoltaic pavement — solar tiles (the "Arena" and Solum Serie Zero systems) that turn terraces, rooftops, plazas and sidewalks into solar self-consumption surfaces without occupying extra space, plus solar charging stations for micromobility vehicles. Founded in 2019 by three industrial engineers and headquartered in San José de la Rinconada (Seville), with a presence at Parque Científico de Madrid, it manufactures in Spain and has deployed 100+ projects across more than 10 countries. Clients and partners include Iberdrola, CBRE, AEDAS Homes and Westfield; it is venture-backed and ran an equity crowdfunding round on Startupxplore in late 2024 to fund European expansion.
