Komvida is a Spanish producer of organic kombucha, a naturally fermented, probiotic green-tea drink sold with no added sugar or preservatives. It sells across more than a dozen flavours in bottles and shots, both through its own online shop with subscriptions and through retail distribution. It also runs a flagship store in Madrid. The company says it holds about 70% of the Spanish kombucha market, and its revenue grew from around €152,000 in its first year to almost €11 million in 2022. Beatriz Magro and Nuria Morales founded it in 2017 in Fregenal de la Sierra, Extremadura. Colombian private equity firm Evolvere Capital took a 49% stake, and in March 2022 the French fund CAPZA invested through its CAPZA Transition strategy, using a mix of equity and debt, to fund international expansion and new product lines.
