AtG Therapeutics is a Barcelona-based preclinical-stage biotech company that develops cancer drugs and patient-selection biomarkers aimed at tumour adaptation vulnerabilities, for patients with advanced cancers such as kidney, colorectal and breast cancer, whether untreated or resistant to treatment. Its pipeline includes AtG 153, a first-in-class small-molecule intracellular inhibitor that targets tumour cell metabolism, and AngioDxPredict, a biomarker tool for identifying the patients most likely to respond to treatment. The company was founded in 2019 as a spin-off of the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBELL) and the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO). In July 2022 it raised a €556,000 seed round from Blue Goose Capital, the WA4STEAM and StapleCat/Inveniam angel groups and several international scientists, and in 2024 it won €1.36 million in Eurostars funding to develop its renal cancer inhibitor.
