Peptomyc is a Barcelona-based clinical-stage biotech developing first-in-class cell-penetrating mini-protein therapeutics that directly inhibit the MYC oncoprotein, a driver implicated in the majority of human cancers. Spun out of the Vall d'Hebron Institute of Oncology (VHIO) and ICREA in December 2014 by Laura Soucek and Marie-Eve Beaulieu, its lead asset OMO-103 (Omomyc) became the first MYC inhibitor to demonstrate safety and anti-tumor activity in a human clinical trial. The company has raised roughly €28-31M in equity across Seed, Series A, B and C rounds plus ~€11M in public funding, and is led today by CEO Jesus Martin Garcia with co-founder Laura Soucek as Chief Scientific Officer.
