Innomy is a Bilbao-based foodtech company developing meat alternatives from mushroom mycelium combined with biotechnology. Rather than using mycelium as an ingredient, it cultivates the final mycelium structure to produce whole-cut, cholesterol-free protein products without added texturisers, and also provides customised R&D services to food companies exploring fungi-based protein production. Founded in 2021 by Argentine scientists and entrepreneurs and located at the Bizkaia Science and Technology Park, the company went through the Rockstart AgriFood and Spain Foodtech (Eatable Adventures, ICEX, CNTA) acceleration programmes. In September 2022 it raised a €1.3 million seed round from Corporación Cervino, Rockstart, Zubi Capital, Eatable Adventures and CNTA, and it has since received Hazitek R&D and EU FEDER support.
