Yakk is a Madrid-based online rental platform that lets users rent items such as technology, audiovisual and sports equipment, furniture and mobility products by the hour, day, week or month, with an option to buy. It started as a peer-to-peer marketplace and later focused on B2B, connecting companies that rent out goods with businesses that need them and earning a commission on each transaction. The company was founded in 2020 by María Azofra, Lucía Clifford and Julián Azofra, and went through Lanzadera, Juan Roig's accelerator. It reported about 30,000 users and more than 15,000 listed items. In 2021 it closed a €249,000 first round backed by two family offices and took a €68,000 ENISA loan, and in 2022 it was selected for Draper University's acceleration programme in California.
