OOMBÚ
OMBÚ is a Madrid-based biotech start-up developing regenerative therapies made from advanced biomaterials to treat ischemic stroke in newborns and adults. Its lead candidate, B recover, is a regenerative therapy designed to help stroke survivors regain brain tissue and function. It is in preclinical development and heading towards first-in-human trials. The company also has a division that sells pharmaceutical intermediates. Materials scientist Merari Tumin Chevalier founded it in April 2024, and in 2025 it was selected as a winner of the Healthstart Madrid+d programme.
