Nuage Therapeutics is a Barcelona-based biotech spin-off of IRB Barcelona and ICREA that develops small-molecule drugs against intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) — targets long considered 'undruggable' — by exploiting biomolecular condensation to render them transiently druggable. Its lead focus is oncogenic transcription factors in cancers such as prostate and aggressive lung cancer, with longer-term interest in neurodegenerative and autoimmune disease. It raised a €12M seed round in June 2023 led by Sofinnova Partners and Asabys Partners, and has since added non-dilutive grant funding (~€2.7M for small-cell lung cancer).
