BIOM (BioInspired Materials) is a Barcelona-based biotech company founded in 2019 as a spin-off of Pompeu Fabra University, developing biotechnological solutions based on living microorganisms, bioactive molecules and novel biomaterials for agriculture and industry, including products like Nanulose (bacterial cellulose) and Ficogenic Broth (a bacterial culture medium). In May 2025 the company closed a €750,000 (~$842K) seed round led by BeAble Capital to scale industrial production alongside manufacturing partner Reactivos para Diagnóstico (RPD).
