OneChain Immunotherapeutics is a clinical-stage biotech company in Barcelona developing CAR-T cell therapies for haematological cancers, spun out in June 2020 from the Josep Carreras Leukaemia Research Institute and ICREA based on research led by Dr. Pablo Menéndez. Its lead asset OC-1 targets CD1a in cortical T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (first patient dosed in the CARxALL trial at Hospital Clínic and Hospital Sant Joan de Déu; FDA Orphan Drug designation), alongside a CD22 programme and in vivo CAR-T work via a collaboration with NanoCell Therapeutics. It raised a €6.7M pre-Series A in 2023 led by Invivo Capital and is part of a consortium awarded a €3.8M grant for AI-designed targeted viral particles.
