SingularCover was a Spanish insurtech and digital insurance brokerage/MGA founded in 2018 that sold tailored, modular insurance policies (civil liability, commercial multi-risk, sick-leave cover) to SMEs and freelancers, letting customers quote and buy online in about five minutes with month-to-month payment. It raised roughly €6-7M across a 2019 seed round led by Antai Venture Builder and Global Founders Capital and a €4.5M Series A in June 2020 backed by Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures and Mutua Madrileña, and won the Virtual South Summit startup competition. The company is defunct — it ceased operations in November 2022 after failing to raise again, entered voluntary insolvency at Barcelona Commercial Court No. 7 (case 1220/2022, concluded 12 April 2023), and its ~4,000-policy client portfolio was sold to Micappital Seguros; the legal entity Singular Cover SL is inactive/in liquidation.
