SSuspol
Suspol (Suspol Polímeros Sostenibles SL) is a deeptech spin-off of the Universidad de Alcalá, born from the SOSCATCOM research group, that develops proprietary organometallic catalysts and scalable reversible-polymerization processes to produce and chemically recycle bioplastics such as PLA and PHAs. Its FlowPLA and FLEXsus technologies claim to synthesise and depolymerise PLA in about a minute at ambient temperature, closing the material's life cycle and regenerating raw materials from polyesters and polycarbonates. Founded in 2022 and based in the Madrid region, it is an early/seed-stage company that won Grow Venture Partners' getIMPULSE accelerator (2022, followed by a ~€100k investment), signed an exclusive patent licence with UAH, and secured CDTI NEOTEC public funding in 2024 to scale up at the Factoría Industrial de Villaverde in Madrid; it is a very small team (roughly 2-6 people).
