YYPlasma
YPlasma is a deep-tech hardware company commercialising DBD (dielectric barrier discharge) plasma actuators — ultra-thin, solid-state devices that ionise air to generate 'ionic wind', producing airflow with no moving parts, no noise and very low power draw. Spun out of Spain's National Institute for Aerospace Technology (INTA) in February 2024 after more than a decade of in-house research, the company targets thermal management for AI laptops, Edge AI hardware, robotics and data centres, plus adjacent uses in aerodynamics, de-icing and sanitisation. It raised a $2.5M seed round in July 2025 led by Faber with SOSV/HAX, is an SOSV Deep Tech 100 company, and premiered the first fanless solid-state NVIDIA Jetson cooler at COMPUTEX 2026; it operates from Madrid (Parque Científico de Madrid), Barcelona and Newark, NJ.
