Orbital Paradigm is a Madrid-based spacetech startup building small, highly autonomous reusable re-entry capsules that return payloads from low Earth orbit, targeting in-space manufacturing, microgravity experiments and space-to-Earth logistics. Its full-scale Kestrel vehicle is designed to carry up to ~120 kg of payload and land in continental Europe on a monthly cadence, with service targeted around 2027. The company flew its first test capsule, KID, on 26 January 2026, built in under 12 months for under €1M, and has raised roughly €1.5M in pre-seed funding plus CDTI NEOTEC public grant support.
