StudentFinance is a Madrid-based fintech and edtech company founded in 2019 by the team behind Uniplaces. It started as a career mobility platform that funded upskilling in in-demand fields such as technology, engineering and AI, mainly through Income Share Agreements and other flexible payment plans offered with partner education providers, backed by data on job-market demand. By 2023 it had worked with more than 50 education providers across more than 250 programmes, managed over €15 million in financing and supported more than 3,000 career changes, with graduates reporting an average 50% salary increase. The company now trades as Mydra, an AI transformation platform that helps teams and SMEs become AI-native through role-level AI mapping, agent specifications and contextual training. StudentFinance has raised more than $40 million: a €1.15 million seed round led by Seedcamp in 2019, a €4.5 million seed round co-led by Giant Ventures and Armilar Venture Partners in 2021, and a €39 million Series A in 2023 (equity and debt) led by Iberis Capital, with debt financing from SmartLenders Asset Management.
