Arjuna Therapeutics is a biotechnology company based in Milladoiro, A Coruña, developing cancer treatments on its Therapeutic Molecular Clusters (TMC) platform. The platform produces orally available small molecules that act as catalysts inside cells. Its lead candidate, Ag5, is a cluster of five silver atoms that targets cancer mitochondria in solid tumours with high levels of reactive oxygen species, including glioblastoma and KRAS-mutant cancers, and is being prepared for first human trials in 2027. The company was relaunched in 2019 from NANOGAP Therapeutics as a spin-out linked to the University of Santiago de Compostela, with scientific co-founders Arturo López Quintela and Fernando Domínguez. It has seed funding from NANOGAP, a Capital Cell equity crowdfunding round of about €571,000 from 179 investors in 2024-2025, and non-dilutive grants including funding from Brain Research UK for work with the University of Oxford.
