Humanox Soccer is a sports technology company based in El Puerto de Santa María (Cádiz) that makes smart, connected carbon-fibre football shin guards. Its HX50 shin guards collect around 50,000 raw data points per player in each training session or match. A cloud platform turns this into more than 40 metrics on performance and health, such as movement, speed, impacts, physical condition and calories burned, which clubs and players view in real time. The company was founded in 2020 by Rafael Contreras and Iván Contreras. Its early clubs included Cádiz CF and CA Osasuna in LaLiga and the Miami Youth Soccer Academy in the United States, and it won a UEFA Reimagine Football award in 2020. In 2020 it closed a first round of about €1.5M that brought in Univen Capital and Telefónica's Wayra, and in 2021 it began a capital increase of about €4.9M with the same investors and existing shareholders.
