Zacatrus is a Spanish board-game company founded in 2011 in Madrid by Sergio Viteri and a group of friends, which began as an online search engine/e-commerce store for board games and grew into the country's leading specialist tabletop retailer. Beyond its online shop it now publishes its own games and accessories, distributes third-party publishers' titles to other retailers, and runs physical stores in cities including Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Sevilla, Zaragoza, Valladolid and Vitoria. It is an angel/seed-funded, cash-flow-positive e-commerce business (roughly €1.5M raised in total) rather than a classic VC-backed high-growth startup.
