Mikrobiomik is a Basque biopharmaceutical company that researches, develops and manufactures biological medicines based on the human gut microbiome, using its patented FSPIM full-spectrum intestinal microbiota technology. Its lead product, EUTEGRA (MBK-01), an oral lyophilised faecal microbiota capsule for recurrent Clostridioides difficile infection, received Spanish marketing approval in February 2026, making it the first authorised human microbiome therapy in Spain, with a launch planned for 2026 and European expansion (Italy, Germany, France) from 2027. It operates what it says is the first GMP facility dedicated exclusively to intestinal-microbiota medicines, has raised roughly €5-6M across successive small capital increases from Basque regional investors, family offices and equity crowdfunding, and has additional programmes in diverticulitis, liver cirrhosis, NASH and Klebsiella decolonisation. It is headquartered in Derio (Bizkaia, Basque Country).
