BBBVA Spark
BBVA Spark is the Madrid-based banking unit of BBVA for high-growth technology companies and venture capital investors. It was launched in 2022 and provides venture debt, growth loans, asset-backed lending, working capital and transactional banking to start-ups and scale-ups in Spain, the United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, Mexico and Colombia. Its financing deals range from about €2.5M to €55M, and it reported more than 1,700 clients and close to €1B in committed financing in 2025. Companies it has financed include Sesame HR, Exoticca, MytripleA, Plum, roadsurfer, Bob W, Aplazo, Xepelin, Addi and Clara.
