EIT Health
EIT Health is a Munich-based health innovation community founded in 2015 as a Knowledge and Innovation Community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), a body of the European Union. It brings together more than 80 members from business, research, education and healthcare delivery, and runs acceleration, education and innovation programmes for healthcare start-ups and professionals across Europe. Its venture support backs early-stage HealthTech, MedTech, digital health and life sciences start-ups through non-dilutive funding, competitions such as Catapult and Headstart, and access to investors and markets. It has supported several hundred start-ups, including more than 40 in Spain through EIT Health Spain, its Barcelona-based regional hub.
