Viscofan
Viscofan is a Navarra-based listed manufacturer of artificial casings for the meat industry. It sells in more than 100 countries and also invests in start-ups as a strategic corporate investor. It takes minority stakes in early-stage companies in biotechnology, alternative proteins, fermentation, biomaterials and health, and gives some of them industrial know-how, resources and market access alongside the money. Its portfolio includes Cocoon Bioscience, MOA Foodtech, ODS Protein, Feltwood, Insekt Label Biotech and Inmedical Therapeutics. It has also partnered with Cleon Capital on enzymes and cultivated meat.
